BSE will Launch a Beta Version of Same Day Settlement (T+0) from 28 March 2024.
BSE to Offer Same Day Stock Settlement
This means your trades will settle on the same day instead of the usual T+1 (one day later) system.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is introducing a new way to trade stocks: T+0 settlement!
What is T+0 Settlement?
T+0 stands for "Trade + 0 days."
With T+0, settlement happens on the same day you make the trade!
Normally, when you buy a stock, it takes one day (T+1) for the trade to settle and the stock to be delivered to your account.
When Does T+0 Start?
This is just a trial run, but it's an exciting step towards faster stock settlements.
Mark your calendars! The beta version of T+0 starts on Thursday, March 28th, 2024.
How Will T+0 Work?
The price of T+0 stocks can only move up or down by 1% compared to the regular T+1 stock price.
There will be special trading hours from 9:15 AM to 1:30 PM.
Only certain stocks will be available for T+0 trading at first.
What are the Benefits of T+0?
This could potentially lead to more efficient trading and lower costs.
Faster settlement means quicker access to your money and stocks.
