NSE Market Cap Reaches $5 Trillion in Just 6 Months
NSE-listed companies hit a $5 trillion market cap in six months. Nifty 50 and Nifty 500 indices reached record highs, showing strong and broad market growth.
The market cap grew from $2 trillion in July 2017 to $3 trillion by May 2021. It took just six months to jump from $4 trillion to $5 trillion.

The Nifty 50 index saw a 13.4% annual growth rate over the past decade. Mutual fund assets surged from ₹9.45 lakh crore to ₹57.26 lakh crore in ten years.
Foreign Portfolio Investors' assets grew 345% in ten years, reaching ₹71.6 lakh crore. The market cap increase is widespread, not limited to top-tier companies alone.
