SEBI's refund to Sahara investors touches ₹138.07 crore

Investors of two Sahara companies have got refunds of ₹138.07 crores in the last 11 years.

After SC’s order in 2012 - Sahara India Real Estate & Sahara Housing Investment Corporation were ordered to return the money.

SEBI received 19,650 applications including 53,687 accounts for the refund.

Refunds have been made to 17,526 applications including 48,326 accounts.

Aggregating amount was ₹138.07 crore including interest of ₹67.98 crore.

Govt. of India said the money will be returned to 10 crore investors of four cooperative societies within 9 months.
