Dabur receives intimation of tax liability

Dabur has disclosed that it has received an intimation of tax liability under Section 74(5) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act (CGST) from the Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence.

 

The intimation specifies that the company is required to pay an amount of 3,20,60,53,069 along with applicable interest and penalties, failing which a show cause notice will be issued.

 

Dabur is reviewing this intimation and is in the process of evaluating its next steps. The company remains committed to addressing this matter and has stated that it will challenge the intimation based on strong merits.

 

This disclosure aligns with regulatory requirements, and Dabur assures that there is no immediate financial or operational impact due to this intimation. The impact will be determined by the final tax liability, which the company will address through the appropriate legal channels.
