Mastek awarded three-year contract from UK Government Digital Service
Mastek, a reputable partner in cloud transformation and digital engineering, announced today that the UK's Government Digital Service (GDS) has given them a three-year contract. The £8.5 million contract has a three-year expiration date and options to extend for a total of five years.
The premier digital initiative of the UK government, GOV.UK One Login, is creating a unified sign-on and identity verification system for the government. At present, GOV.UK offers over 340 services and around 190 accounts that may be accessed using 44 distinct sign-in methods. The goal of GOV.UK One Login is to replace these with a single, widely used method for users to authenticate and sign in. At scale, GOV.UK One Login will be the front door to accessing government services online and will be considered a Critical National Infrastructure.
Mastek, in collaboration with UK GDS will design, build, and operate the GOV.UK One Login Technical Service Desk (TSD). The TSD will serve as a single point of contact for resolving technical queries and issues 24*7. Mastek will design the TSD solution with proactive monitoring and alerting systems that support operational best practices.
Cheryl Hartley, Vice President and Service Director for the Secure Government Services portfolio at Mastek, said, "I am delighted that we will be part of the GDS One Login vision, making authentication simpler across government. We understand how much of a seismic change this is for all government departments and are excited to enable its smooth and successful delivery."
