Tata Renewable energy signs 12.5 MW captive solar plant deal
A power delivery agreement (PDA) for the construction of a 12.5 MW AC captive solar plant was signed by Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) and Endurance Technologies through the use of TP Green Nature Limited, an SPV.
Aachegaon in Maharashtra will be the location of the plant, which will produce 27.5 million units (MUs) of electricity annually. The project is anticipated to be finished within a year following the PDA's signature.
“Our partnership with Endurance Technologies to set up a captive solar plant will support them in adopting sustainable energy solutions. At TPREL, we are dedicated to supporting energy-intensive businesses across multiple industries to actively adopt green energy solutions and advance the nation's energy transition journey," said Ashish Khanna, CEO of TPREL.
The proposed captive solar power project would bring the total capacity of TPREL's renewable energy portfolio to 7,889 MW. 3,701 MW of projects are included in this, which are in varying phases of completion.
A 12.5 MW captive solar power plant in Akkalkot, Maharashtra, has allowed TPREL and Endurance Technologies Limited to work together successfully.
