UPL Forms JV with Aarti Ind for Speciality Chemicals

UPL on Thursday, May 23 announced that it has entered into a joint venture 50%-50% partnership with Aarti Industries for manufacturing and marketing speciality chemicals for multiple downstream industries.

The arrangement is the first partnership between these two Indian entities to develop, manufacture and market the downstream and value-added chemicals in the global market. 

The joint venture will help supply downstream derivatives of amines that have a diverse application in the agrochemicals and paint industry.

The joint venture entity is expected to commence commercial supplies by the first quarter of financial year 2026-27 with a revenue potential of 400-500 crore rupees in the next 2-3 years.

 Mr. Rajendra Gogri, Chairman & Managing Director, said, “This arrangement between AIL and UPL is a pathbreaking development that builds on the synergies and competencies of two leading Indian chemical companies to support manufacturing critical chemical products in India”.

Gogri also believes the collaboration shall inspire Indian chemical players to bring together strengths and contribute to the Indian chemical ecosystems.
