Salona Cotspin Limited, incorporated in 1994, is a manufacturer and exporter of cotton yarn and knitted fabrics. The Company operates through cotton textile segment comprising Spinning of Yarn and Knitted Fabrics. Company's manufacturing plant is located at Pungampalli Village, Erode District. In 2010, the Company installed three more wind electricity generators to the total capacity of 2.20 MWs. In 2015-16, due to energy evacuation back out imposed by the TANGEDCO during the year, the steep fall in export of wind electricity. The Wind electricity was captively consumed by use in the Textile Mill. Company consumed major portion of green energy in order to reduce carbon footprints. By captive consumption, the Wind Electricity contributed for reduction in power cost, and contributed to the profits of the textile mill in 2017. The Company entered into Branded Garment Business in 2017 and launched the brand 'NEWRIE LONDON'. It started woman garments under the Brand of 'NEWRIE LONDON' and opened their own showrooms in various places in India and appointed the franchise and distributors throughout the country in FY18. company installed 2.00 MW capacity of Solar Power Plant (Ground Mounting) at Thaligai Village, Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu for Captive Consumption during the period 2021-22. Company added 18000 Spindles to its existing capacity at Kannampalayam Village, Sulur Taluk, Coimbatore District in 2023-24, which commenced the commercial production from January 2025 onwards. Salona has been into textile business for over 5 decades and has to its credit leading edge machinery & highly proficient staff. It produces high quality cotton and blend yarns suitable for hosiery, knitting & weaving. Products are produced from the best cotton and precisely blended in accordance to the Öekotex Standard to meet the customized requirements of the customers. Salona's Superior yarn spells excellent tensile strength, complete yarn utilization from the spool and sheer uniformity in yarn. It can customize the knitwear apparels.
