History of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited (AHEL) launched its first hospital and pharmacy in Chennai in 1983. This company has expanded rapidly, opening hospitals in Madurai, Visakhapatnam, and Delhi by 1991. In 1993, they launched a 24/7 ambulance facility. In 2016, they launched Apollo Diagnostics. As of March 2023, Apollo Hospitals also operates 70 hospitals which are located across India including Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, and more. With a total of 9,957 beds. The company employs over 13,200 doctors, 15,300 nurses, and 7,400+ paramedics. Apollo Hospitals has performed over 2,400 robotic surgeries since March 2023.
