Photon Capital Advisors Limited was initially incorporated as Hifco Marwel Limited on 31st December, 1983 in Hyderabad, Telangana. The name of the Company was changed in 2008 to Photon Capital Advisors Limited. The Company is in the business of providing solutions and consultancy on software designing, development, customization, implementation, maintenance, testing and benchmarking, designing, software development and to establish, expand and scale advanced AI-native and data driven businesses, including research, development, deployment and communication of artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning systems, autonomous decision ingines, intelligent automation solutions etc., and also to undertake strategic acquisitions/investments in India and overseas in technology, IT, ITES, digital, financial services, and allied sectors. Initially, the Company focused on investment and financial services business. It provided financial and investment services, acting as an advisor to hedge funds, family offices, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), and investment partnerships investing in India. It invested across multiple asset classes including equities, equity and index derivatives, debt, commodities, and real estate. It managed proprietary funds that are typically closed to external investors. The Company launched new currency derivatives including the GBPINR, EURINR and JPYINR contracts during 2010-11. The Company has commenced operations in the business of Software Services, Information Technology (IT) and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) in FY26. Accordingly, during the year 2026, the Company transitioned from its earlier business activities to a technology-focused business model and is presently focused on building sustainable capabilities in the areas of software services, IT and ITES, while evaluating further opportunities in the Data Centre and allied technology ecosystem.
