About

About Rana Sugars Ltd

In July 1991, Rana Sugars was founded, with 17.2% ownership held by Mr. Rana Gurjit Singh and his colleagues and 28.6% equity held by the Punjab Agro Industrial Corporation. In August 1993, the company announced the plan to build a 2500-tcd sugar mill with a 5 MW captive power generation. White crystal sugar, which is used in confections, medicines, and homes, is the company's principal product. The by-products are bagasse and molasses. Citric acid and alcohol are made with molasses. In addition to being used as fuel to produce steam and electricity, bagasse is a raw material in the paper industry. The company's location in Punjab, a state with a sugar deficit, gives them an advantage. Due to its wide range of business, some investors may be interested in Rana Sugars Ltd share price. History of Rana Sugars Ltd

The first company in North India to establish a cogeneration power project was Rana Sugars Limited, which started producing power in March 2002. The cogeneration plant is producing 14 MW of excess power after using its internal system to meet captive demand. The company began commercial production on March 2, 2006, when it opened a 60 KL distillery unit in the District of Tarn Taran. After being converted to produce ethanol, the distillery was originally contracted to make industrial alcohol and rectified spirit. The distillery was eventually extended as the need for ethanol increased several times over, and as a result, the plant's capacity was increased to 225 KLPD. Rana Sugars share price depends on the performance of these business operations.

In its power unit at Village Buttar Seviyan, Punjab, it increased the cogeneration of power in 2007 by increasing its capacity from 20 MW to 30 MW. In addition, it began producing commercially at the sugar mill in the Uttar Pradesh village of Belwara. In its current sugar unit in Moradabad, the company established an additional 80 KLPD ethanol plant in 2018-19. These initiatives had an impact on its Rana sugar Ltd share price.
