Garnet International Limited (GIL)was initially incorporated as 'Adelphia Vision India Limited' in 1992. The name of the Company was changed from Adelphia Vision India Limited to 'Gslot Entertainment Limited' on 2nd July 2001 and again was changed to 'Garnet International Limited' from Gslot Entertainment Limited in 2006. Initially, the Company operated the business into two verticals - Investments in securities and Textiles. In 2010, the Company undertook activities pertaining to construction and/or dealing in real estate. The Company's history of investments includes public equities, primarily in the small cap and mid cap space as well as private equity investments. Nestled in Ludhiana in the State of Punjab, the Company's subsidiary, Sukartik Clothing marks the group's foray into the vibrant textiles & garments landscape of India. Apart from this, it established the textile arm, Sukartik Clothing, runs a modern, vertically integrated facility in Ludhiana which manufactures seamless & knitted garments for domestic as well as export markets. Sukartik Clothing's modern manufacturing facility is vertically integrated with all key processes - seamless knitting, garment dyeing, stitching and boarding, all under one roof. The plant set up over 35,000 sq. ft. is fitted with best in class imported machines and is ISO certified 9001:2008 and 14001:2004. The Company formed a wholly owned subsidiary, Garnet Valorem Capital Ventures Pvt. Ltd. during financial year 2017-18 to focus on alternative investment strategies not limited to quant based investing and private equity. In 2018-19, it sold wholly owned subsidiary, Garnet Valorem Capital Ventures Pvt. Ltd. to Kamaai Capital Private Limited, as part of change in business strategies. The Company is reported NBFC engaged in financial services. Its activities primarily comprise of investing in listed and unlisted equity shares, debt instruments and mutual funds etc. of companies in a wide range of industries.
