Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited was initially incorporated in February, 1985 as a Private Limited Company as 'Amara Raja Batteries Private Limited'.
The Company got the status converted into Public Limited in 1990 and changed to 'Amara Raja Batteries Limited'.
The Company changed its name to Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited w.e.f.
September 27, 2023. The Company is the technology leader and one of the largest manufacturers of lead-acid batteries for both industrial and automotive applications in the Indian storage battery industry.
Company's products are supplied to customer groups viz., Telecom, Railways, Power Control, Solar and UPS under Industrial Battery business, and to Automobile OEMs, Replacement Market and Private Label Customers under Automotive Battery business.

About HBL Engineering Ltd

HBL Engineering Limited (HBL), formerly known as Sab Nife Power Systems Limited, was incorporated in 1988 by A J Prasad in a Joint Venture with Nife, Sweden.
During the year 1999-2000, name of the Company was changed to HBL Nife Power Systems Limited, further changed to HBL Power Systems Limited in 2006 and was subsequently changed to HBL Engineering Limited in 2024. The Company is a leading battery and power systems company based in Hyderabad, India.
The Company came in to existence as a result of the merger in 1999 of Hyderabad Batteries Ltd (HBL) incorporated in 1977, and SAB Nife Power Systems Ltd incorporated in 1986.
The two companies which were under the same management, were merged when foreign % of equity investment in SAB NIFE became too small to justify separate legal entities.
