About Sri Ramakrishna Mills (Coimbatore) Ltd

  • Incorporated in 1946, Sri Ramakrishna Mills (SRM) is a member of the South India Textile Research Association (SITRA).
  • The Company is engaged in Textile Spinning and Real Estate Development.
  • The Company's spinning mills, located in Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Nagari (Andhra Pradesh) and Sathyamangalam (Tamil Nadu) have a combined installed capacity of 94000 ring spindles and 1440 rotors. In 1994-95, the company reduced 3080 spindles at one of its units as they had become obsolete.
  • It added 9 automatic winding machines at various units. The company continued its modernisation and renovation programmes to improve the quality and productivity.
  • The textile industry as a whole was pushed to a tight corner on account of the unprecedented rise in the cost of cotton and increase in the cost of other inputs.

About Supertex Industries Ltd

  • Supertex Industries Ltd was incorporated on July 18, 1986 under the name of Super Tex- O - Twist Private Limited, as a Private Limited Company.
  • The Company became a deemed Public Limited Company on July 1, 1990 and got converted into a Public Limited Company on March 3, 1992.
  • The Company was founded for processing of synthetic yarns and is presently engaged in texturizing, twisting, draw-warping and sizing of Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY). The Company has four major divisions.
  • Draw Warping, Sizing, Texturising and Twisting, located at Silvassa in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Dharampur in Gujarat.
  • It was amongst the first few Companies in the world to adopt the draw warping technology.Its Draw Warping, Sizing and Beaming Divisions are located at Dharampur and it manufactures texturised twisted fancy yarns at Silvassa.
