Adani Energy Solutions was formed as About Adani Energy Solutions and is now a division of the Adani Group. The organisation is responsible for the establishment, commissioning, installation, operation, and maintenance of electric power transmission networks in India. The Adani Group entered the transmission industry in 2006, aiding with electrical evacuation from its Mundra thermal power facility. As a result, 3800 circuit kilometres of dedicated transmission lines connecting Mundra to Dehgam, Mundra to Mahendragarh, and Tiroda to Warora were placed into service. Adani Energy Solutions Business Segments

  • Power Transmission: The company owns and operates high-voltage AC transmission lines and substations at voltage levels of 132kV, 220kV, 400kV, and 765kV, as well as high-voltage DC transmission lines and substations at +/-500kV.
  • Electricity Distribution: In 2018, the company bought Reliance Infrastructure's Mumbai electricity distribution operations. The segment's aspirations focus on expanding its reach into new markets in order to realise India's vision of 'Power for All'.
  • Smart Metering: In 2022, the company joined the smart metering market after winning the Bombay Electric Supply & Transport (BEST) project to install 10.8 lakh smart meters. In addition, the company won the contract to install 7.7 lakh "Smart Meters" for Assam Power Distribution Limited.

ATL has also joined the district cooling sector by forming Adani Cooling Solutions Limited (ACSL). The firm focuses on district cooling and thermal energy storage.

Subsidiaries of Adani Energy Solutions

The business reported 55 subsidiaries, some of which are shown below:

  • Adani Transmission (India) Limited: It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Energy Solutions Limited, and provides transmission services.
  • Maharashtra Eastern Grid Power Transmission Company Limited: It is also AESL's wholly-owned subsidiary. It generated 18.83% of AESL's consolidated revenue. 
  • Sipat Transmission Limited: Another subsidiary that contributed 0.56% of total revenue to the combined corporation in the fiscal year 2023.

Adani Energy Solutions Key Personnel 

Since May 1, 2018, Anil Sardana has been AESL's Managing Director and CEO. He took on new responsibility for Adani Power in July 2020. He was Tata Power's CEO and Managing Director for nearly seven years until April 30th, 2018. 

Adani Energy Solutions Management Outlook

The company believes it has a strong under-construction pipeline worth Rs.220 billion, including the Mumbai-HVDC project and smart metering LOI contracts, positioning it for future development. 

In terms of distribution, the company intends to grow into new markets via parallel licensing (Navi Mumbai, Greater Noida, Aurangabad, and Nashik). AESL is optimistic about the Smart Metering industry's significant development potential as a consequence of recent contracts.
