Atanu Chakraborty Board Membership

Atanu Chakraborty has been serving as the Part-time Chairman and Independent Director of HDFC Bank Ltd since May 5, 2021. He is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience in finance, economic policy, and infrastructure, having previously held significant roles within the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) for 35 years. Mr. Chakraborty is also the Director General at the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (India) and has been involved with numerous companies, holding positions on the boards of seventeen additional organizations. He has contributed to various committees within HDFC Bank, including the Audit Committee since 2013, and has recently joined the Nominating and Compensation Committees in 2024. His annual remuneration as Chairman is approximately ₹35,00,000, approved by the Reserve Bank of India. Mr. Chakraborty holds an MBA from The University of Hull and an undergraduate degree from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.
