Nirupama Rao Board Membership

Nirupama Rao, aged 74, has been serving as a Non-Executive Independent Director on the Board of ITC since April 8, 2016. She holds a Post Graduate degree in English Literature and has been recognized as a Fellow at both Harvard University and Brown University. Additionally, she is a Jawaharlal Nehru Fellow and received an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Pondicherry University. Rao is also actively involved in various organizations; she is the founder of The South Asian Symphony Foundation, a Director at the U.S.-India Business Council, and serves on the Governors Board at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Her extensive experience includes participation in the Compensation and Nominating Committees at ITC since July 25, 2018, and she has held directorial roles in several media companies and other firms, showcasing her significant contributions to both academia and public service.
