About Alufluoride Ltd

  • Alufluoride Limited (AL) was incorporated as a private limited company in November, 1984 and subsequently converted into a public limited in October, 1992.
  • It was promoted by V S Prasad and K Ramachandra Reddy.
  • The Company is a leading manufacturer of Aluminium Fluoride.
  • The annual capacity of production is 15,000 million tons. AL commissioned its Aluminium Fluoride Plant in 1995, based on an agreement between AL and Coromandel International Limited (CIL).
  • As per the original agreement, CIL is to supply 4,000 TPA of Hydrofluosilicic Acid (FSA) exclusively to AL. However, since inception, CIL was unable to supply the contracted quantity, and therefore the balance FSA is being procured from Odisha. The company set up a manufacturing plant having a 3500 tons per annum of Aluminium Fluoride at Visakhapatnam, AP with the technical know-how from Navin Fluorine Industries (NFL), a division of Mafatlal fine spinning and manufacturing Co.

  • Subsequently, the Partnership Firm converted into Private Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956 with the name 'Archean Chemical Industries Private Limited' and a Certificate of Incorporation dated July 14, 2009 was issued by the Registrar of Companies, at Chennai.
  • Consequent upon conversion into a Public Limited Company on November 15, 2021, name of the Company was changed to 'Archean Chemical Industries Limited'.
