Andhra Cement Limited, formerly known as Andhra Cement Company Limited, incorporated in December, 1936, was promoted and owned by the Sadu Jain Group.
The name of the Company was changed from Andhra Cement Company Limited to Andhra Cement Limited in December, 1990.
The Company is engaged in manufacturing and selling of Cement products. The Company's first unit was commissioned in Vijayawada in 1940.
Later, it was extended in three stages in 1951, 1958 and 1970.
By 1987, total capacity reached 2.4 lac tpa of cement.

HeidelbergCement India Limited was initially incorporated as 'Mysore Cements Limited' on May 13, 1958 as a Public Limited Company by a Karnataka-based industrialist in technical and financial collaboration with Kaisers of USA.
