About Kakatiya Cement Sugar & Industries Ltd
Kakatiya Cement, Sugar & Industries Limited, formerly known as Kakatiya Cement Limited was incorporated in July, 1979 with the Registrar of Companies, in Hyderabad.
Pursuant to the Order dated. 04.12.1998 of the BIFR, the erstwhile Sree Kailas Sugars and Chemicals Limited (SKSCL) was merged with the Company with effect from 1st April, 1997 and the name of the Company was changed to Kakatiya Cement, Sugar & Industries Limited in 1998.
The Company's activities are organized into three operating divisions namely Cement, Sugar and Power.
The major activity of the company is to produce, manufacture, refine, sell and generally to deal in all kinds of Portland Cement, sugar, generation and distribution of power.
The Company started the business with a plant to manufacture ordinary Portland cement with a licensed capacity of 200 tpd at Srinivasanagar, Andhra Pradesh.

Orient Cement Limited was incorporated in July, 2011.
The Cement Undertaking of Orient Paper & Industries Limited (OPIL) had been transferred to the Company as a going concern w.e.f 1st April 2012, pursuant to the Scheme of Arrangement approved by the Hon'ble High Court of Orissa.
The Company is primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of Cement and manufacturing facilities at present are located at Devapur in Telangana, Jalgaon in Maharashtra and Chittapur in Karnataka.
The Company's new green field integrated cement plant at Chittapur in Karnataka has commenced commercial production w.e.f. 26th September 2015.
During the year 2017, the Company automated systems to identify quality deviations and address them with speed and precision.
It strengthened quality norms enforced through central monitoring and cement labs across its manufacturing plants.
