About Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd

Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Limited was originally incorporated on 8 February 1999 as a Private Limited Company with the name 'Infra Cement India Private Limited' in Mumbai.
The name of the Company changed to 'Lafarge India Private Limited' on 25 May 1999.
The Company became a deemed Public Limited Company effective from 02 November 1999.
Accordingly, the Company became a Private Limited Company with effect from 16 April 2003 Thereafter, the status of the Company again converted to a Public Limited, resulting in change of name to 'Lafarge India Limited' on 12 March, 2016.
Pursuant to divestment by erstwhile Shareholders in the Company in 2016 and resolution dated 08 March 2017 passed by the Shareholders, name of the Company was changed to 'Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Limited' issued by the RoC on 10 March 2017.

About Saurashtra Cement Ltd

Promoted in 1956, Saurashtra Cement Limited (SCL), was set up to manufacture cement by the semi-dry process.
In 1960, the Mehta group, headed by Nanji Kalidas Mehta invested Rs 50 lac in SCL. The plant is located at Ranavav, Gujarat.
In 1980, the group was invited by the Government of Gujarat to invest in a joint venture, Cement Corporation of Gujarat, now called Gujarat Sidhee Cement (GSCL).
The Mehta group spans over seven countries with interests in sugar, engineering, cement, electrical cables, power, alcohol, etc.
SCL was the first BIFR case to be turned around without a rehabilitation package/assistance.
