BSE SME Acme Universal Safezone 9 steps into a powerful debut
The counter hit a high of Rs 106.05 and a low of Rs 101. About 28.34 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE.
Acme Universal Safezone 9's IPO was subscribed 15.63 times. It was a Rs 35.93 crore book-built issue comprising an entirely fresh issue of 50.61 lakh shares. The IPO opened for subscription on 28 September 2026 and closed on 30 September 2026. The issue price was fixed at Rs 71 per share, against a price band of Rs 65 to Rs 71.
The promoters' shareholding declined from 94.88% before the IPO to 69.73% after the issue.
Acme Universal Safezone 9 plans to use Rs 3.62 crore of the IPO proceeds towards installing a solar power plant and Rs 8.96 crore towards additional machinery. Another Rs 8 crore is earmarked for incremental working capital requirements. The company also plans to use the proceeds for unidentified acquisitions, strategic initiatives and general corporate purposes.
Incorporated in November 2016, Acme Universal Safezone 9 operates in the personal protective equipment segment, focusing on industrial safety footwear for sectors including construction, oil and gas, mining, heavy engineering, automotive, pharmaceuticals, chemical processing, foundry and power generation. It offers 15 product lines across EVA-rubber, Nitrile Rubber and PVC sole types, providing protection against impact, compression, penetration, electrical shock, static electricity, heat and fire, chemicals and slipping.
The company operates four manufacturing facilities across Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. It uses ICad3D technology for product design and SAP S/4 HANA for enterprise resource planning. Its products are distributed through direct institutional sales, regional distributors and dealers, as well as digital and e-commerce channels. The company has warehousing at more than 40 locations across India and exports to markets including the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Israel, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Cameroon and Mauritius.
Acme Universal Safezone 9 manufactures products compliant with applicable IS 15298, EN ISO 20345, ASTM F2413 and SEDEX SMETA standards, depending on product variant and export destination. As of 31 March 2026, the company had 1,073 employees.
For FY2026, the company reported total income of Rs 211.16 crore, compared with Rs 191.31 crore in FY2025, an increase of 10%. Profit after tax rose to Rs 5.86 crore from Rs 0.80 crore, an increase of 628%.
