The Nifty 500 Index is a big collection of 500 different companies of various sizes, from big to small. It gives investors a broad view of the Indian stock market. The NSE has launched four new indices, effective April 8, covering both cash, futures, and options segments of the stock market. The four indices are: Nifty Tata Group 25% Cap; Nifty500 Multicap India Manufacturing 50:30:20; Nifty500 Multicap Infrastructure 50:30:20; and Nifty MidSmall Healthcare. One of them is Nifty500 Multicap India Manufacturing 50:30:20. 

The Nifty500 Multicap India Manufacturing 50:30:20 Index is a stock index that tracks manufacturing companies from the Nifty 500 index. It includes 15 big companies, 25 medium-sized companies, and 35 small companies, based on their stock availability and market worth, starting with a 1000-stock starting value.

The index divides focus into different types of companies, with 50% focusing on big companies, 30% on medium-sized ones, and 20% on small ones, based on their stock trading volume, distributing risk.

The index focuses on six major companies:

  • Reliance Industries Ltd., 
  • Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.
  • Tata Motors Ltd., Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
  • Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.

The index pays a lot of attention to the top six companies that make up a big part of it. These companies have a weightage of over 4% each. Below are the listed companies:
