Krishnakumar, an alumnus of the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli, holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Financial Management from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management. With over 36 years of experience at BPCL, he has held significant roles across Marketing and Human Resources, contributing to the company's advancements in the downstream fuel retailing industry. He was instrumental in BPCL's customer-centric initiatives, including the introduction of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and loyalty programs, marking a significant evolution in the Indian oil sector. His recent appointment as Chairman & Managing Director was confirmed following a notice under the Companies Act, 2013, and he also serves as a Director on the boards of Bharat PetroResources Limited and Petronet LNG Limited.
