Berger Paints India Ltd Share Price

Berger Paints India Limited, established in 1923, started with a West Bengal factory. In 1947, it was acquired by British Paints (Holdings) Limited and renamed British Paints (India) Limited. In 1983, it was renamed Berger Paints India Limited. Presently, it is owned by the Dhingra brothers. Berger Paints, which went public in 1996, is listed on the NSE, BSE, and Calcutta Stock Exchange, and is included in major indices like Nifty 100 and Nifty 500.

Berger Paints expanded into Nepal in 2000 by acquiring Jenson & Nicholson, Nepal, renaming it Berger Jenson & Nicholson, Nepal. In 2007, Berger Paints Ltd opened a company partnered with Nippon Bee Chemical Co Ltd for automobile plastic part coatings. In 2012, It entered into the chemical business and expanded its offerings in chemical products.

Berger Paints India Limited, as of March 2023, is the second-largest paint company in India, fourth-largest in Asia, and seventh-largest worldwide. With a manufacturing capacity of 12,72,705 KL-MT and 29 facilities across India, Nepal, Poland, and Russia, the company has a distribution network of over 60,000 dealers and retailers.   1. Decorative Products: This segment includes a variety of paint products for interior and exterior walls, waterproofing solutions, wood finishing, metal finishing, and more.   • Berger Jenson & Nicholson (Nepal) Private Limited: This subsidiary manufactures and sells construction chemicals and decorative and industrial coatings in Nepal.
  • SBL Specialty Coatings Private Limited: In collaboration with a Korean company, this subsidiary produces Neostone, a non-PTFE-based non-stick ceramic coating.
