Lakshmi Electrical Control Systems Limited (LECSL) was incorporated in December, 1981 led by the founder Promoters G K Devarajulu and D Jayavarthanavelu. Presently, the Company engages in manufacturing and selling of control panels and plastic components. It manufactures contactors, thermal overload relays, control relays, electrical control panels and industrial plastic components. The Company commenced commercial production in year 1982. It entered into a technical collaboration with Sprecher & Schuh, Switzerland, one of the leading manufacturers of low-tension switchgear items in the world. The Company is headquartered in Coimbatore. The Company was in collaboration with 'Sprecher+Schuh' Switzerland for manufacture of Control gear. In 1984, it started manufacturing of Control Panels, Engineering Plastic Components and Commercial Tool room moulds. It made a Public Issue in Jan.'84 to part-finance the original project to manufacture 1,80,000 switchgears tons per annum., 2000 control panels tons per annum and 400 tons per annum of plastic components. LECSL has received the ISO 9001 and the ISO 9002 certifications for all its four product groups. In 2003, new products launched such as limit switches & electro valves, APFC Panels for windmills and industrial applications. Apart from these, control panel production became a major part of the Company's operation and it made constant efforts in increasing the productivity levels and introduced new customers. Whereas, in the Plastics Division, it is making efforts to add new customers / products and thereby increasing the share in overall business. The Second Factory Unit which was established near the existing factory at Arasur, Coimbatore in 2022, became operational in September, 2023.
