Shriram Asset Management Company Limited is an integral part of Chennai- based Shriram' Group which has a significant presence in financial services such as commercial vehicle, consumer finance, life and general insurance, stock broking, chit funds and distribution of financial products. The Company was incorporated in Mumbai on 27th July, 1994, and received the Certificate of Commencement of Business on 5th December, 1994. The Company received permission from Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to act as the Asset Management Company of Shriram Mutual Fund on 21st November, 1994. Presently, it provide Asset Management Services. The Company had closed all schemes of the Fund in 2001-02 and subsequent to this no new schemes were launched during 2002-03. The Board of Directors had approached the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) seeking their permission to launch new schemes and for change of Sponsor from Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited to Shriram Credit Company Limited and resulting, the permission was granted to Shriram Credit Company Limited to act as a Sponsor and also granted its approval to Shriram Mutual Fund to restart its business activity in 2012-13. The maiden scheme, Shriram Aggressive Hybrid Equity Fund was launched in November 2013. Shriram Flexi Cap Fund was launched in September 2018. Shriram ELSS Tax Saver Fund (ELSS), launched in January 2019. Another fund, launched by the Company in July 2019, was Shriram Balanced Advantage Fund. Shriram Overnight Fund, got launched in August 2022. Shriram Multi Asset Allocation Fund, launched in September 2023, Shriram Nifty 1D Rate Liquid ETF launched in July 2024, Shriram Liquid Fund launched in Nov'24, Shriram Multi Sector Rotation Fund launched in December 2024. The AUM crossed Rs 1000 crore in December 2024 before settling at Rs 896 crores by Mar'25. In addition, three new funds were launched during FY 2025: Shriram Nifty 1D Rate Liquid ETF launched in July 2024, Shriram Liquid Fund launched November 2024, Shriram Multi Sector Rotation Fund launched in December 2024. The Company on December 16, 2024 launched 3 PMS Products- Shriram LEAPS - Investment Approach, Shriram Future GEMS - Investment Approach and Shriram Liquid PMS - Investment Approach. As of March 31, 2025, the PMS business had total Assets Under Management (AUM) of Rs 5.69 crore. Subsequently, the Company launched three Non-Discretionary PMS products, on June 2, 2025, it launched NDPMS - Equity Mutual Fund on September 12, 2025, and finally, STP Liquid on November 10, 2025. As of March 31, 2026, the Portfolio Management Services (PMS) business had total Assets Under Management (AUM) of Rs. 44.54 crore. During the first half of the financial year 2025-26, Sanlam infused Rs 105 crore in growth capital into Shriram AMC with 38,88,889 equity shares allotted on a preferential basis to Sanlam Emerging Markets (Mauritius) Limited constituting 23% of the expanded capital and became co-promoter of Shriram AMC and jointly controls the company along with the existing Promoter i.e. Shriram Credit Company Limited. The Company launched Shriram Money Market Fund in January 2026 and further launched Shriram Chhoti SIP. Assets Under Management (AUM) for mutual funds reached Rs 1,143.88 crore on March 31, 2026, an increase of 27.71% from March 31, 2025.
