About Sagility India Ltd
Sagility India Limited was originally incorporated as `Berkmeer India Private Limited' as a private limited company under the Companies Act, 2013 pursuant to a certificate of incorporation dated July 28, 2021, issued by the Registrar of Companies, Karnataka at Bengaluru. Subsequently, pursuant to a resolution passed by its Shareholders at the EGM held on August 25, 2022 the name of the Company was changed to `Sagility India Private Limited' and a fresh certificate of incorporation was issued by the Registrar of Companies, Karnataka at Bengaluru on September 13, 2022. Subsequently, the Company was converted from a private limited company to a public limited company, pursuant to a special resolution passed by its Shareholders at the EGM held on May 21, 2024 and the name of the Company was changed to `Sagility India Limited', and a fresh certificate of incorporation was issued to the Company by the RoC, on June 20, 2024.
Healthcare expenditure in the U.S. has grown at a CAGR of 5.0% from 2014 to 2023 and amounted to US$4.7 trillion (Rs.389.6 trillion) in 2023, and further is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 5.5%, reaching US$6.1 trillion (Rs.509.8 trillion) by 2028. The US healthcare market comprises of two primary entities with respect to care financing and care delivery - healthcare payers and healthcare providers. Healthcare payers are entities that pay for or reimburse healthcare services for insured members through health insurance plans. Healthcare providers are individuals or healthcare facilities that are licensed to deliver care services or aid in care delivery such as doctors, clinics, hospitals, labs, and durable medical equipment providers. Healthcare operations spend by such Payers and Providers in the US was valued at approximately US$201.1 billion (Rs.16.8 trillion) in 2023. This spend is expected to reach approximately US$258.9 billion (Rs.21.6 trillion) in 2028, driven by the rise in the aging population, increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, and various governmental initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare services, among other factors.
Sagility India Limited provides technology-enabled business solutions and services to clients in the U.S. healthcare industry. The Company is a pure-play healthcare focused services provider, and its clients include Payers (U.S. health insurance companies, which finance and reimburse the cost of health services) and Providers (primarily hospitals, physicians, and diagnostic and medical devices companies). its services to Payers cater to various aspects of their operations including (i) core benefits administration functions such as claims management, enrolment, benefits plan building, and premium billing, and (ii) clinical functions such as utilization management, care management, and population health management. Its services to Providers include revenue cycle management functions.
