  • Linking your aadhaar number with your EPF (employee provident fund) account helps in the withdrawal or transfer of PF balance when you switch your job. By visiting the official website of EPFO, you can easily link your aadhaar with your PF account.

    How to Link Aadhaar Number with EPF Account Online?

    You can link your aadhaar number with EPF Account online by following the below steps:

    • Step 1: Visit the EPFO Member e-SEWA
    • Step 2: Log in with your UAN number and password.
    • Step 3: Under the ‘Manage’ tab, click on the 'KYC' option.
    • Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar and PAN number on the 'Add KYC' tab
    • Step 5: Click on submit. 
    • Step 6: Under the ‘Pending KYC’ tab, you can see the details.

    Once the linking is done, your aadhaar information will be displayed under the 'Approved KYC' tab.

    How to Link Aadhaar Number with EPF Account Offline?

    You can link your aadhaar number with EPF Account offline by following the below steps:

    • Step 1: Fill the columns with your name, Aadhaar number and UAN number.
    • Step 2: Fill in other relevant details.
    • Step 3: Submit the form along with copies of your PAN card, UAN , and Aadhaar card.

    Once the submitted details are verified, your aadhaar will be updated to your UAN, and you will receive a notification on your registered mobile number.

    How to link EPF through Umang App?

    You can link EPF through the Umang app by following the steps below:

    • Step 1: Log in using MPIN or the OTP option.
    • Step 2: Click on ‘EPFO’, under the ‘All Services Tab’.
    • Step 3: Click on ‘Aadhaar Seeding’ under ‘eKYC services’.
    • Step 4: Enter your UAN and Click on ‘Get OTP’.
    • Step 5: Enter your Aadhaar information
    • Step 6: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email address again.
    • Step 7: Enter the OTP.

    Once it is verified, your aadhaar will be linked to your UAN. Your aadhaar information will be displayed under the 'Approved KYC' tab.
