Bengaluru Set to Host India's Largest Multi Modal Logistics Park under PM Gati Shakti Plan

National Highways Logistics Management Ltd (NHLML), an NHAI-owned company, has signed an agreement for the development of a Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Bengaluru's Muddelinganahalli rural district. The project, estimated at Rs 1,770 crore, will be executed under the Public Private Partnership (DBFOT) model. This MMLP is set to be the first and largest of its kind in India under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.

Situated 58 km from Bengaluru Airport and 48 km from the city's railway station, the park's strategic location near key industrial areas and major transportation routes will facilitate seamless logistics movement.

The MMLP will be executed in three phases, with the first phase slated for completion in two years. It is projected to handle 30 million metric tonnes of cargo within its 45-year concession period, providing a significant boost to industrial zones in the region.

A Government Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) has been established between NHLML, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), and Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB). This development aligns with the Government of India's efforts to enhance freight logistics efficiency and lower costs through improved inter-modal movement, advanced warehousing, and enhanced consignment tracking capabilities.
