Green light for 100 projects worth nearly Rs 6 Trillion under Gati Shakti

The Network Planning Group of the PM Gati Shakti Master Plan has approved 100 projects worth Rs 5.89 trillion. These include 40 road projects with an investment of Rs 3.65 trillion, 40 railway projects costing Rs 95,704 crore, and eight urban development projects requiring Rs 79,016 crore. This inter-ministerial group meets biweekly to assess infrastructure projects, ensuring coordination and comprehensive development.

All projects exceeding Rs 500 crore need NPG approval. The National Master Plan aids planning by consolidating geospatial data, streamlining design and considering existing infrastructure for better impact.

The Gati Shakti Master Plan, initiated in 2021, promotes synchronized infrastructure planning for improved overall outcomes. It aligns various sectors such as roads, railways, ports, urban development, and more, fostering efficient execution and impact enhancement.
