Magicpin to sell tomatoes at Rs 50/kg on chosen ONDC platforms

Hyperlocal e-commerce company Magicpin has joined forces with the National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India to bring tomatoes to consumers at the rate of Rs 50 per kilogram through select online platforms like Paytm and Pincode, available on the ONDC network.

Magicpin is offering a maximum purchase limit of 2 kilograms of tomato at Rs 100 per user per week with no delivery fees.

In the past four weeks alone, Magicpin has managed to fulfill around 20,000 orders, equating to 40,000 kilograms of tomatoes, across more than 90 pin codes within the Delhi-NCR region. During this period, the tomatoes were priced at Rs 70 per kilogram.

Going forward, the cost will be further reduced to Rs 50 per kilogram. Anshoo Sharma, the CEO and co-founder of Magicpin, expressed the company's dedication to supporting the NCCF and ONDC endeavor, aiming to mitigate the impact of price fluctuations on essential commodities and deliver increased benefits to consumers.
