PM Modi to Inaugurate Development Projects in Maharashtra and Open National Games in Goa
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to kickstart a scheme in Maharashtra benefiting over 86 lakh farmers and launch projects exceeding Rs 7,500 crore. Commencing his Maharashtra visit at the revered Shri Saibaba temple in Shridi, PM Modi will inaugurate the new 'darshan queue complex'. He will also conduct "Jal Pujan" of Nilwande Dam and dedicate its canal network to the nation.
Later in Shirdi, a public event will witness the inauguration and foundation-laying of various projects in sectors like health, rail, road, and oil and gas. The 'darshan queue complex' boasts modern amenities and seating for more than 10,000 devotees, conceived under PM Modi's auspices in October 2018. The canal network, spanning 85 km, will benefit 182 villages by enhancing water distribution networks.
Additionally, PM Modi will unveil the 'Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana' during the public program, providing an extra Rs 6,000 annually to over 86 lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in Maharashtra.
In Goa, PM Modi will inaugurate the 37th National Games, addressing participating athletes. With over 10,000 athletes competing across 28 venues in 43 sports disciplines, the games will run from October 26 to November 9. The occasion marks the first time Goa hosts the National Games.
