Avenue Supermarts reports Q2FY24 performance, expands store network

Avenue Supermarts Limited (ASL) , the parent company of the popular D-Mart supermarket chain, has reported robust financial results for Q2 FY 2024. The company achieved an impressive 18.5% increase in total revenue, reaching 12,308cr. However, the profit after tax (PAT) saw a decline, decreasing by 9.8% to 623cr.

ASL reported an 18.5% year-on-year increase in total revenue, reaching Rs. 12,308.

 

Profit after tax (PAT) decreased by 9.8% to Rs. 623 crore from the previous year.

 

Earnings before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) reached Rs. 1,002 crore, marking an 11.9% growth.

 

Basic Earnings Per Share (EPS) for Q2 FY24 was Rs. 10.12, a slight drop from Rs. 11.28 in the previous year.

 

ASL opened 9 new stores during the quarter, bringing the total store count to 336.

 

Despite the dip in PAT, ASL remains financially stable and continues its growth trajectory. The company's commitment to expansion is evident with the addition of nine new stores during the quarter, bringing the total store count to 336.
