Air India introduces new ‘The Vista’ logo and livery as part of rebranding efforts
On August 10, N Chandrasekaran, the chairperson of Air India, introduced a new logo, branding, and plane livery for the airline as part of a multi-million dollar makeover.
The new airline emblem features a contemporary style with the hues gold, crimson, and purple. It will take the place of the previous emblem, which had an Ashoka Chakra-inspired crimson swan with orange spokes inside.
According to the official statement, Air India’s new logo symbol - ‘The Vista’ - is inspired by the peak of the gold window frame, signifying "limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and the airline’s bold, confident outlook for the future."
In addition, the new livery and design for Air India's aircraft include a chakra-inspired pattern with a colour scheme of deep red, aubergine, and gold highlights. 'Air India Sans', a specially created font, is also contained there.
The airline would also gradually roll out the new Air India website, mobile app, loyalty programme, etc. alongside this. By the end of 2026, it will also be introducing a completely new long-haul fleet.
