Airtel 5G Plus now live in Port Blair

The top telecom service provider in India, Bharti Airtel ("Airtel"), today declared the opening of its cutting-edge 5G services in Port Blair, making it the first operator to offer 5G to the Union territory of the Andaman and Nicobar islands. Customers will be able to use Airtel 5G Plus services in phases as Airtel builds up its network and completes the roll out. Until the rollout is more extensive, customers with 5G-capable smartphones can use the fast Airtel 5G Plus network without paying any extra fees. In due course, Airtel will expand its network to make its services available in cities throughout the Union territory.

Consumers will be able to use 5G Plus services that are extremely fast, dependable, and secure without having to worry about running out of data because the company has removed the data use cap from all current plans. A revolution in education, healthcare, industry, agriculture, mobility, and logistics will result from Airtel 5G Plus, which will strengthen the entire spectrum of services that Airtel provides. With a variety of potent use cases over the past year, Airtel has showcased the power of 5G, changing the way consumers live their lives and conduct business.

Airtel has been at the vanguard of 5G innovation, having built India's first live 5G network in Hyderabad, the country's first private 5G network at the BOSCH facility in Bengaluru, as well as its Chakan manufacturing site in collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra
