Airtel extends 5G coverage to 110 districts in North East

Bharti Airtel, a prominent telecommunications service provider in India, has marked a significant milestone in its 5G expansion efforts. Within just one year of the Airtel 5G Plus launch, the company has successfully onboarded over 1.7 million unique 5G customers in the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. Moreover, Airtel 5G Plus service is now accessible across all districts in these states, achieved within a swift 12-month period since the initial launch.

Airtel's 5G service is now available throughout every district and union territory in India, with a dedicated focus on comprehensive coverage in the North East. From the serene living roots bridge in Meghalaya to the picturesque landscapes of Ziro Valley and Bomdilla in Arunachal Pradesh, Airtel's 5G network reaches even the most remote corners, ensuring seamless connectivity.

Rajnish Verma, CEO Assam & NESA, Bharti Airtel, expressed his gratitude to the 1.7 million customers who have embraced the Airtel 5G Plus network. He emphasized Airtel's commitment to delivering cutting-edge 5G technology and prioritizing customer satisfaction, affirming their position as a leader in the industry.

Over the past year, Airtel has showcased the transformative potential of 5G through various innovative use cases, including setting up India's first private 5G network at the BOSCH facility and partnering with Mahindra & Mahindra to create India’s inaugural 5G-enabled auto manufacturing facility. Recently, the company introduced Airtel Xstream Air Fiber, a pioneering wireless home Wi-Fi service powered by Airtel 5G Plus, highlighting its exceptional 5G capabilities for consumers in Delhi and Mumbai.
