Bajaj Electricals wins Rs 564 crore contract from Power Grid Corp

Manufacturer of consumer durables Bajaj Electricals Ltd announced on Friday, October 13, that the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) had given it a service contract for 564.20 crore rupees.

The agreement, which was disclosed in a letter dated October 13, 2023, denotes a significant participation in the construction of transmission infrastructure in the Andhra Pradesh regions of Ananthapur and Kurnool.

 

 

The building of a new 400kV transmission line covering 83.12 km in Ananthapur and an extended 183 km line in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, are included in the scope of work for this contract.

 

These lines are a component of a larger transmission plan created to support the 1,000 MW and 2,500 MW Ananthapur and Kurnool solar energy zones, respectively.

 

The completion timeline for these critical projects is set at 21 months from the issuance of their respective notices of award (NoA) or letters of acceptance (LoA).
