BHEL secures order from NHPC for 2,880 MW Dibang multipurpose project

On Monday, state-owned BHEL stated that it had received a purchase order from NHPC for its 2,880 MW Dibang multipurpose project in Arunachal Pradesh.

According to a statement from BHEL, the project's electro-mechanical (E&M) work order was won after a competitive international bid process.

The order value, however, was not shared.

Design, engineering, production, delivery, construction, and commissioning of the E&M package are all included in BHEL's scope of work under the contract.

Major project components will be manufactured at BHEL's facilities in Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jhansi, and Rudrapur, while the company's power sector - eastern region division in Kolkata will handle on-site execution duties.

With more than 1,97,000 MW of installed capacity worldwide, BHEL is the largest manufacturer of power-generating equipment in India.
