Cyient DLM Inks Production Contract with Boeing for 787 Dreamliner

Boeing granted Cyient DLM the first of its kind project for power electronics manufacture and design/certification assistance for commercial aeroplanes, according to the company.

"Cyient DLM is uniquely positioned to offer complete design, development, qualification, certification and production support to Global Aerospace OEMs," CEO Anthony Montalbano said. The contract marks a significant milestone for the company, showcasing its focus on design and certification, and increasing share of build to specification products, Montalbano added.

According to the company, it is one of the first AS9100C aerospace-certified electronic manufacturing facilities in India, as well as the first to achieve National Aerospace and Defence Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) accreditation for Circuit Card Assembly. 

Last week, the company reported a 98.1% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit to Rs 10.5 crore for the first quarter that ended June 30, 2024.

Cyient DLM made a net profit of Rs 5.3 crore in the previous period. Operating revenue for the firm increased from Rs 217.1 crore in the previous fiscal year to Rs 257.8 crore, an increase of 18.7%.

In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, EBITDA remained constant at Rs 19.9 crore at the operating level. In the reporting quarter, the EBITDA margin was 7.7%, down from 9.2% in the prior year. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation is known as EBITDA.
