Eicher Motors auto sales increased by 29% YoY, selling 6,476 vehicles

Eicher Motors reported auto sales of 6,476 vehicles in August, representing a 29.4% YoY increase. 

According to a regulatory filing, the company's primary business, 'Eicher Trucks and Buses,' increased by 27.5% YoY, selling 6,239 vehicles in the previous month.

Domestic sales in the same market segment increased 30.4% YoY, with 5,907 vehicles sold. While export data fell 8.5% YoY with the sale of 332 vehicles.

With 237 vehicles sold in the last month, vehicle sales for 'Volvo Trucks and Buses,' made by Eicher in a joint venture with Sweden-based automaker Volvo, increased 115.5% YoY. 

The company recently announced the launch of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 in a regulatory filing, with the base model priced at Rs 1.73 lakh.

Eicher Motors Limited is a company that manufactures commercial vehicles such as buses, trucks, and motorcycles. Royal Enfield, the company's main brand, is recognized for creating mid-sized motorcycles with a focus on classic and retro looks. Eicher Motors has a joint venture with Sweden's AB Volvo to manufacture trucks and buses under the Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles brand.
