GE Power India secures Rs 440 crore order from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation

GE Power India Limited has been awarded a significant Rs 440 crore contract by Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd, as per a regulatory filing. The project involves the supply of a flue gas desulfurization (FGD) system and encompasses design, engineering, manufacturing, packing & forwarding, installation, commissioning, and PG testing.

The FGD system is crucial for mitigating environmental impacts by removing sulfur dioxide from flue gases emitted during fuel combustion. By implementing this system, Gujarat State Electricity Corporation aims to improve emissions compliance and reduce its environmental footprint.

The contract execution is expected to be completed within 30 months from the date of the Letter of Intent, i.e., by January 2026. The contract value of Rs 440 crore will be subject to an 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST).

This accomplishment highlights GE Power India's expertise in providing cleaner and sustainable energy solutions, reinforcing its position in the Indian market. It also allows Gujarat State Electricity Corporation to advance its environmental initiatives while benefiting GE Power India's market presence and project portfolio in the country.
