ION Mobility and TVS Motor collaborate on project Dynamo

ION Mobility, a Singapore-based tech startup, is set to unveil Project Dynamo at the Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS) 2023. This venture, a collaboration with TVS Motor Company, introduces ION Mobility to the sports scooter market segment following the successful launch of its M1-S electric motorcycle. Project Dynamo is a conceptual adaptation of TVS Motor's premium flagship crossover EV, the TVS X. The project aims to address the needs of Indonesian riders who prioritize performance and speed while emphasizing efficiency and eco-friendliness.

ION Mobility CEO James Chan expressed his excitement, stating, "We are committed to elevating the ION brand into the top lifestyle brand for electric motorcycles in Indonesia." The collaboration signifies the rapid growth of the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia. ION Mobility, a multicultural startup with teams across four countries, focuses on developing electric motorcycles and related technologies.

Mr. Sharad Mohan Mishra, President of Group Strategy at TVS Motor Company, emphasized their dedication to sustainable mobility solutions. He stated, "We are thrilled to solidify our partnership with ION Mobility to drive the premium electric two-wheeler growth in Indonesia."

Project Dynamo is part of ION Mobility's long-term commitment to the electric motorcycle industry in Indonesia, exemplified by their high local component production. This includes a high-capacity battery pack production line and vehicle assembly line in their Karawang Timur plant. The company anticipates driving job creation and technology development within the industry through these initiatives.
