Index rejig: JSW Steel to replace HDFC on Sensex from July 13

Steel giant JSW Steel will take HDFC's place starting on July 13 in the S&P BSE Sensex-30 index. The adjustment was made as a result of the delisting of HDFC shares from exchanges following the merger of HDFC and HDFC Bank.

Further, HDFC will be replaced with Zomato in the BSE 100 index. HDFC will also be removed from S&P BSE Sensex 50 and replaced by Apollo Hospitals.

On S&P BSE 500, HDFC will be replaced by JBM Auto Components Ltd.

HDFC Ltd will be removed from all the other BSE indices effective from July 13. Besides HDFC, TVS Motor Company and Apollo Tyres have also been removed from a few indices of the exchange, as the release showed.
