KIMS acquires a further 13.24 percent in Kondapur Healthcare Limited for Rs 20 crore
In a regulatory filing, the Hyderabad-based Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) stated that 19.86% of Kondapur Healthcare is owned by it. Kondapur Healthcare has not yet started conducting business.
According to a research by Edelweiss analysts published in August 2023, they are still optimistic about KIMS due to its sound expansion strategy, predicted rise in operating beds, improved occupancy, and higher operating margin with an emphasis on operational efficiency. With the addition of roughly 726 occupied beds and the assumption of a growing 6 percent ownership in ARPOB, they anticipate a 25 percent increase in income for the years FY2023–25.
The hospital chain with locations in Telangana, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh reported for the quarter that ended in June 2023. According to an investor presentation, the total bed capacity across all locations rose from 3,666 in the previous fiscal quarter to 3,975 in Q1FY2024. A multi-specialty hospital, KIMS provides services in areas including oncology, gastric sciences, organ transplant, mother and child, renal sciences, and oncology, among others. The hospital network, according to the management, wants to increase its presence in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha.
