Linde India secures order from Indian Oil
Linde India stated on Tuesday that it has been awarded a 'Letter of Acceptance' by Indian Oil Corp. Ltd (IOC) in connection with a job-work contract for the installation of an Air Separation Unit (ASU) on a site licensed by the company within its Panipat Refinery Complex.
The plant will manufacture and supply Instrument Air, Plant Air, and Cryogenic Nitrogen to IOC's Panipat Refinery Expansion Project.
Linde India stated that after the ASU was completed, it would enter in necessary agreements with IOC to operate and maintain the facility for a period of 20 years from the first delivery date.
The company also aims to cover the project's capital expenditures through internal accruals.
Linde India manufactures and distributes oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, argon, and other specialty gas mixes. In addition, it produces welding electrodes, rods, fluxes, gas and electric welding equipment, and liquid oxygen explosives.
BOC India was the company's name until 2013. However, following Linde Plc's acquisition of BOC, the company was renamed Linde India. It does, however, continue to classify BOC as a promoter with a 75 percent stake.
