Power Grid successfully bids for 20 GW transmission system project in Rajasthan
On Monday, September 11, the state owned Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) announced that it has won the tariff-based competitive bidding to build a 20 GW interstate transmission system in Rajasthan.
"...it is to inform that Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has been declared as the successful bidder under tariff-based competitive bidding to establish an Inter-State Transmission System Project for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part C1 on Build, Own Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis," it said.
The project's scope involves building a brand-new 765/400kV substation in Ramgarh that will feature STATCOM technology. It also includes expanding the bays at existing substations all over Rajasthan as well as building a 765kV D/C transmission line.
On the BSE, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. shares ended the day at Rs. 264.40, up by Rs. 5.65 or by 2.18 percent.
