Punit Patel appointed President & CEO of Zydus Americas

Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. has named Punit Patel as the President and CEO for the Americas region. Patel will oversee all business operations, including generics, injectables, specialty, rare diseases, and future ventures into novel therapeutics in North America. 

He brings over two decades of experience in generics and branded pharmaceuticals, having previously led a multibillion-dollar generic portfolio at Red Oak Sourcing. Patel also held roles at Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics and CVS Caremark. 

Based in Pennington, New Jersey, US, he will play a pivotal role in Zydus' expansion in North America. Managing Director Sharvil Patel expressed confidence in Punit Patel's leadership, emphasizing his extensive background in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. The appointment is poised to further fortify Zydus' presence and strategic direction in the region.
