Q1 Business Update: Adani Green raises capacity by 43% to 8,316 MW
The Adani Group company informed exchanges on Wednesday that its energy sales grew 70% YoY at 6,023 million units in the June quarter compared with 3,550 million units in the same quarter the previous year. Adani Green Energy reported that the addition of 1,750 MW solar-wind hybrid, 212 MW solar, and 554 MW wind power plants increased operational capacity by 43% to 8,316 MW YoY.
Shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd. increased by 2% in Thursday’s trading.
According to its filing, Adani Green Energy’s solar portfolio’s capacity utilisation factor (CUF) for the quarter was 26.9%, up 40 basis points (bps) year over year, and supported by 99.7% plant availability. According to Adani Green Energy, its wind portfolio CUF was 38.7%, down 830 basis points year over year. According to Adani Green Energy, the reduction was mostly caused by the wind speed, which was lower this year compared to the previous.
In addition to commissioning a 212 MW solar power plant in Rajasthan and a 554 MW wind power project in Gujarat, Adani Green Energy operationalized 1,750 MW of solar-wind hybrid power plants in Rajasthan.
