SJVN Limited receives consent for Solar Power purchase

SJVN Limited has announced its offer to supply power from a 1,000 MW Solar PV Station, part of the CPSU scheme of the Government of India. This project is set to be developed at Village Bandarewala/Karnisar, Tehsil Poogal, District Bikaner, Rajasthan. The power generated will be utilized by government entities, either directly or through DISCOMS.

 

Jammu & Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL) and Rajasthan Urja Vidyut Nigam Limited (RUVNL) have both provided their consent for the purchase of 600 MW and 500 MW of power respectively. This comes against a total capacity of 1,000 MW, at a tariff of ₹2.57 per kWh.

 

This move signifies a significant step towards the development of renewable energy projects in India, furthering the nation's commitment to sustainable power generation.
